You don’t have to import anything to get started. From the Design System chat, you can describe what you want in plain English and the agent builds it for you, adding components, colors, typography, and tokens to your Design System as you go.

Ways to prompt

  • Describe it: Tell the agent what you’re building. “Create a Button, Card, and Modal that all share a 12px border radius and our brand blue.”
  • Paste an image: Drop in a screenshot or reference image and ask the agent to match it. Great for recreating an existing UI or working from a mockup.
  • Paste a Figma frame: Copy a frame in Figma (⌘C) and paste it into the chat to seed components from your designs.
  • Reference what exists: Mention components by name with @ to build on or refine pieces you’ve already added.
Be specific and include references where you can. A short description plus a screenshot usually produces a much closer result than words alone.

How it works

The chat lives with your Design System and operates on the whole system, so you can add several things at once or refine many components in a single message. Keep iterating in the same chat, then publish a new version when you’re ready.
